Joe Sakic card #103 1994-95 Parkhurst Vintage #V34

  • Still trying to make up for the missing days in August by running another 2 a day here in September.  Don't ask me why, just enjoy...
  • Did you know?  On the back, it says that Bernie Nicholls became the first NHL player ever to record a goal in all three periods and an overtime goal in a win on 11/13/84 against Quebec.  Not sure why Parkhurst put this on the card, since Sakic didn't become a Nordiques player for another 4 years after that.
  • It does remind me somewhat of older Parkhurst cards, but would rather have had the original design come back.  Someone got it right in 2003 when they released a set with the 51-52 design.  It will be a while before you see that card here on this blog.
