Joe Sakic card #101 1994-95 Upper Deck #404

  • 94-95 Upper Deck will always be one of my all time favorite hockey sets.  It will also be one of my biggest banes as well, as the set introduced me to the wonderful world of parallels.  The Electric Ice version of this card is the next Sakic post, and I'll expand a little more on this point then.
  • Love this photo!  Look down by the stick blade, and work your way up the card.  you will see the bits of ice in the air, which on a hockey card is absolutely fantastic.
  • Maybe it was to get all the rookies in the set, but the only thing weird about the 94-95 UD set is the breakdown.  270 cards in the first series, 300 in the second.  Might have made more sense to even each series, but what do I know?
  • Even though there were a lot of RC's in the 2nd series, there aren't any that truly stand out.  The Ryan Smyth is still the priciest at $2, but using the word "priciest" might be pushing it a bit.
