Jim Thome card #140 1998 Flair Showcase Row 3 #89

  • I never understood the whole Row 3, Row 2, Row 1, Row 0 concept.  What in the world is Row 0 anyways, sitting on the field?
  • Never mind my blathering, this really is a nice looking card.  The Fleer Flair concept was well done over the years, would love to have seen it continue on to the present.
  • Stats on the back:  Flair showed Jim's career stats vs. each AL team.  Until the end of the '97 season, Jim hit more HRs vs. the White Sox (18) than any other squad.  His career average vs. the Twins was a solid .353 (67/190), but he struggled against the Blue Jays hitting only .236 (47/199).
