Jim Thome card #139 1998 Upper Deck Retro #31

• This bat knob is far less interesting than Billy Ripken's.  Come on, no white out, or black box or shall I say it??  No, I'll keep it PG here..
• The scan made the card look a bit like a pair of corduroy pants.  I can hear the swishing now.
• Career home run #139 was hit 5/6/98 vs. Scott Erickson of the Orioles.  It was Jim's 6th homer of the season, 5 of which came with at least one man on base.  That would be the last pitch of Erickson's day, and the Indians would go on to win the game 14-5.
