Jim Thome card #129 1998 Topps Stars #132

• Just 5 versions of this card to chase, compared to Topps Tek from the same year, that's nothing.  This is serial #'d 442/9799.
• The design seems as if Thome hit the ball and it exploded, giving off kind of a shimmering light effect.  Interesting...
• Bio on the back:  "Who is the only other AL third baseman since 1954 other than Jim - who did it in 1996 - to hit .300 with 30 HRs and 100 RBI in a season?"  Interesting that the answer is on card #133 of the set.  I had to go to COMC to look up the answer.  It was George Brett in 1985.
