- 116 victories. That's a .716 winning percentage. Don't think that I'll see that kind of season again in my lifetime.
- Dig the shades. Not even the normal flip down style that most players use. Leave it to Ichiro to employ his own style.
- Hit #7 was a single to left off of Mike Venafro, who was brought in the game on 4/6/01 to get the left on left matchup. Didn't work. Ichiro would be stranded at 2nd base.
