Ichiro card #10 2002 Upper Deck Vintage #271

• 1st multi-player card that I've featured for Ichiro.  Quite a few good players listed in the top 10 in the AL batting average race, including Juan Gonzalez (6th), A-Rod (7th) and Derek Jeter (9th).
• 4 of the top 10 hitters had 200 or more hits.  Giambi reached base over 300 times that year (178 hits, 129 BB).  
• I loved the Vintage release from 2002.  Black borders are always a hit, and the yellow back was a nice contrast.
• Interesting stat:  Ichiro loved the 2nd pitch in the 2001 season.  On the 2nd pitch (count being 0-1 or 1-0), Ichiro hit an incredible .424 (67/158).
