- Thought that this was an insert from the Upper Deck base set. Wrong, it's from the Challengers for 70 set, a little different.
- Not a bad looking card, the back is a little bland as it shows the slugging percentage of the top 1st basemen from the '98 season. Jim was 5th behind McGwire, Galarraga, Delgado and Vaughn.
- Career homer #188 was hit 8/25/99 in Oakland off of A's reliever Doug Jones. By the time he hit the homer in the 6th, the Indians already had enough runs on their way to a 12-4 romp.
