- I was very surprised to see that this card hadn't been added to the TDCB yet. Rest assured that has been taken care of now.
- I have always liked the Ovation design, with the front looking (and somewhat feeling) like the cover of a baseball. Definitely was something unique back in the day.
- Career homer #230 was hit 9/27/2000 vs. Johan Santana of the Twins. Santana was actually pitching in relief of starter Brad Radke, who had given up the first 7 Indians runs. Thome's HR would be the last run for the Indians in their 8-2 win that day.
