Jim Thome card #179 1999 Ultra #95

• In a cloud of dust:  One of the best, if not the best, card of Jim Thome so far.  Love that you can make out the individual grains of sand in the photo.   Even the grimace on Jim's face is amazing.  
• Card detective:  Had to figure out who is tagging Jim out.  Looked up the DP combo for the Cubs in 1998, and right off the bat figured out that Jeff Blauser is the SS that's tagging Jim out.  Take one look at the link and you'll see why I was able to figure it out so easily.
• Curiosity got the better of me...seeing Jim sliding into 2nd made me wonder just how many doubles he hit in his career.  Well, that number isn't as impressive as his HR total, as Jim only managed 451 2-baggers during his 22 year career.
