- Anything featuring Fitzgerald and a big shot of the Cardinals logo (especially with the dark red) will be a big weakness of mine.
- Serial #'d 150/1000. I've had quite a lot of luck picking up serial #'d cards of Larry for less than a buck, many of them around 50 cents.
- Everyone talks about Fitz being a lock for the HOF, but how about Anquan Boldin? 100+ catches 2x, 80+ catches in 5 other seasons. 13,779 career yards, Super Bowl ring with the Ravens in 2012. My lasting impression of Anquan will be that he was a tough WR to defend against, very physical.

Ichiro card #39 2008 Topps Moments & Milestones #63-30
- More serial #'d madness for Ichiro. Would have been nice to pick up the card that was serial # 30, but beggars can't be choosers.
- Thanks to Al from the Hockey Kazi blog for becoming follower #20 on the blog. Only took a little over 2 years to get there. Still would like to do a giveaway if I can get some more followers here. Spread the word...
- Market Watch: Currently no copies of the 30 hits card for sale on COMC.
- Career game #39 was the 7th straight win for the Mariners, a 7-2 victory over the White Sox. Ichiro's hit streak would extend to 21 games, and this would be his 5th straight multi-hit game, a 2 for 4 performance with a double, a RBI and a walk. The 5 straight multi-hit games has raised his average from .338 to .365 and the team has gone 16-5 during his hit streak.

Jim Thome card #278 2001 Donruss Elite Primary Colors #PC-36
- Final card of my PC of Jim for 2001 is here. I'm guessing pink is a primary color? Oh, it's red!
- This card is serial #'d 866/975. I don't recall having shown too many serial numbered cards for Thome so far. I'm sure that I can count them on one hand.
- Surprisingly this was not added to the TCDB as of yet. Unlike my Sakic collection, adding Thome cards has been few and far between for me.
- 8 copies of this card are currently on COMC, the cheapest at $1.50 and the most expensive is $3.85. Not too bad a range in my opinion.

Brett Lawrie card #65 2014 Topps Chrome blue refractor #219
- The color unfortunately didn't come out as well as I would have liked. The blue border looks really good in hand.
- Remember buying this off of COMC because the serial number was so low (# 3/199). I thought that 85 cents was a fair enough deal as well.
- Added this card to the Trading Card Database as well. As of this writing, the site was less than 85,000 images away from hitting the 2 million mark. Still trying to do my part...

Brett Lawrie card #62 2014 Donruss Gold Press Proof #352
- Posted the base card and the silver press proof back at the end of May; not sure why I waited over 2 weeks to add the Gold version to the blog.
- Serial #'d 22/99. Got this card very cheaply from COMC, paying just 67 cents for it. Who says you can't pick up a limited numbered card for your PC for just pennies?
- Added this card to the Trading Card database site. The site is closing in on 1.9 million cards scanned to it.

Joe Sakic card #201 1996-97 Leaf Preferred Steel Power #1
- Pretty sharp looking card, love the lightning bolts which are actually die cut and not just foil on the card. It's a little hard to see, but the lower right hand corner commemorates his 51 goals from the previous season.
- Card is serial #'d 2355/2500 which back then was somewhat limited. Now for a lot of sets, that's more of a base parallel (a la Topps Gold parallels).
- Bio on the back: Joe got off to a great start in the 95-96 season, winning Player of the Week honors for the week ending 10/21/96. That included a 6 point effort against the Oilers (1G, 5A).

Andrew McCutchen card #46 2014 Donruss Elite Face 2 Face #6
- Had to lighten up the brightness a bit in order for the "face 2 face" to show up on the scan. Not a bad insert if you ask me...
- I think that this is the first serial #'d McCutchen card that I have scanned. I thought that the Bowman Chrome Green refractor from '13 was SN #'d, but it wasn't.
- Had to look up the head 2 head stats for these two. The numbers surprised me a bit. Cutch is 9 for 27 against Kershaw in his career, 2 2b, 1 HR and 4 RBI. 4 strikeouts and 2 walks round out the stats...

Jim Thome card #147 1998 SP Authentic Sheer Dominance #SD37

| Serial #1210/2000 |
- It wasn't until I scanned the card that I really noticed the "GOLD" multiple times down the front of the card.
- Now that I think about it, I really haven't shown many serial numbered cards for Thome so far (if any). This is #'d 1210/2000.
- After almost a year, I may have figured out how to keep posting without making a lot of work for myself each evening. I scanned a bunch of cards on Friday evening of each of my PC's, and have about 9 or 10 cards in the draft folder. Now all I have to do is take a few minutes for each card and figure out the standard 3 bullet points. Then it will be just a matter of keeping the draft folder full. Easier said than done...

Brett Lawrie card #2 2011 Bowman Chrome Throwbacks Refractor BCT12
- Card is serial #'d 53/99 and arrived courtesy of the Night Owl
- I'm guessing that the picture for this card was taken somewhere in Florida during spring training; love the old school light pole in the background.
- So far this is the only card of Lawrie's that I own that features the old Jays logo on his cap.
