- Anything featuring Fitzgerald and a big shot of the Cardinals logo (especially with the dark red) will be a big weakness of mine.
- Serial #'d 150/1000. I've had quite a lot of luck picking up serial #'d cards of Larry for less than a buck, many of them around 50 cents.
- Everyone talks about Fitz being a lock for the HOF, but how about Anquan Boldin? 100+ catches 2x, 80+ catches in 5 other seasons. 13,779 career yards, Super Bowl ring with the Ravens in 2012. My lasting impression of Anquan will be that he was a tough WR to defend against, very physical.

Larry Fitzgerald card #14: 2004 Upper Deck Rookie Premiere #5
- Good to see that all those photos at the rookie shoot didn't go to waste; 6 photos on the front of the card!!
- Someone forgot to tell Larry that he could keep his eyes open on this shot. No need to prepare to get hit by a defender here.
- 29 copies of this card currently on COMC. Cheapest card is $3.50, most expensive is $5.25. This tells me one thing; I'm pretty sure that Wes sent me this card. Thanks Wes!

Larry Fitzgerald card #13 2004 Upper Deck Rookie Prospects #RP-LF
- Been a while since I wrote a post on here, and I've been on a bit of a Fitzgerald binge lately, so why not get started writing again with a Fitz card?
- Bio on the back: Formed a trio with Anquan Boldin and Bryant Johnson in his rookie season to give the Cardinals a solid group of WR's.
- I'll be approaching 250 cards of Fitz when my next COMC order comes in. Yes, I am working on quite a few sets as well but I figure I'm going to try and get as many of Fitzgerald's cards on the cheap before he retires then hits the HOF.

Larry Fitzgerald card #12 2004 Topps Draft Picks & Prospects #140
- There are 6 players from the first round of the 2004 draft class still playing in the NFL. Fitz is one, see if you can name the other 5.
- 66 catches for Larry this year will give him 1300 for his career. Only Jerry Rice and Tony Gonzalez have hit that milestone.
- Market Watch: 5 copies currently on COMC, all within a dollar of each other, which is surprising. $4.05 to $4.99 is the range, which again is very affordable for a sure fire HOF candidate.
- Love the look on Larry's face in this photo. I'm sure he had it on many a catch at Pitt, almost willing the QB to get him the ball as he was behind another defender.

Larry Fitzgerald card #11 2004 Topps #360
- Textbook catch, even if it's during a photo shoot. Clearly Larry is looking the ball into his hands.
- The card # on the back is almost impossible to read. It's in a small gray box in the upper left corner with white numbers. Had to get the magnifying glass with the light to read it.
- Market watch: Kind of surprised that there were only 2 copies on COMC. One at $3.25, the other at $7.
- Career catch #11 was his first catch that didn't gain any yardage. It was the last play of the first quarter against the Falcons in week 3 of 2004. Brutal game as the Falcons won 6-3.

Larry Fitzgerald card #10 2004 Score #373
- Great shot of Larry concentrating as the ball heads right for his hands. No doubt taken at one of those Rookie premiere photo shoots.
- Bio on the back: Dennis Green, coach of the Vikings relayed a story that a ball boy for the club will become a superstar in the NFL. 5 years later, Fitzgerald is drafted in the 1st round by the Cardinals.
- Market Watch: Only one copy of this card on COMC right now. It is graded a PSA 8, and listed for $20.
- Career catch #10 was in his 3rd NFL game, played against the Atlanta Falcons. It went for 6 yards and was his 6th straight catch below 10 yards.

Larry Fitzgerald card #9 2004 Press Pass Big Numbers #BN-6
- Quality control: Surprised I wasn't called out about this morning's post. Title of the post had an extra 'R' in Fitzgerald. For some reason I can't type Larry's last name very well.
- I've noticed that there are quite a few cards featuring Larry in his Panthers jersey over the course of his career.
- Market watch: 7 copies of this card on COMC right now, anywhere between $2.25 and $3.25. Not bad for a rookie year die cut insert.
- Catch #9 was his final grab against the Patriots, another 8 yard completion. Was hoping that game 3 for Larry was better than game 2, but unfortunately it's more of the same.
Larry Fitzgerald card #8 2004 Fleer Tradition #332
- I don't know about you, but I'm sure that Fleer could have done a better job with this card.
- Parallels a plenty with this card; there are crystal, blue, green and draft day versions. Haven't seen any of them yet.
- Market watch: 6 copies of this card on COMC, ranging from $5.25 to $8.25. To be honest, after looking at this card my first thought was that it would be in the $3-$5 range. When I checked ebay, that was the range that I found for the base RC.
- Career catch #8 was for 8 yards against the Patriots. Larry was actually targeted 12 times in his 2nd career game; but only managed 5 catches vs. the Pats. Tough day.

Larry Fitzgerald card #7 2004 Finest #100
- The design reminds me of a bullseye. If that refers to the Cardinals getting it right by drafting Fitz, it certainly fits.
- Larry is one of 6 1st round picks from the 2003 draft to play in the 2017 season. See if you can name the other 5 without looking it up. I could only name the 3 QB's, not the DB or TE.
- 3 copies of this card on COMC now, ranging from $10.25 to $14.99. Not bad.
- Catch #7 also came against the Patriots, an 6 yard grab in the 4th quarter. I noticed when looking over the game stats for this game that the Cardinals really didn't pose much of a threat offensively against the Patriots.
Larry Fitzgerald card #6 2004 Bowman #125
- For a photo that was probably taken in a rookie photo shoot, they sure made Larry stretch it out.
- Bio on the back: Hauled in at least one six-pointer in 16 straight games. 22 TD's in 2003. Wow!
- 6 copies of this card on COMC. Lowest is $8, highest is $14.95. Is it just me, or are Larry's RC's still under appreciated? I would have thought with his career to date that his Rookie Cards would be more expensive. Maybe my ignorance of the football card collecting market is showing here....
- Career catch #6 is Larry's first career catch that didn't gain yardage. Larry's consecutive streak of quarters in which he had at least one catch stopped at 5. The catch was for no gain in the 3rd quarter of the 23-12 loss to the Patriots on 9-19.

Larry Fitzgerald card #5 2004 Bazooka #175
- This card was part of a big lot of LFitz cards sent to me by Wes of Area 40 fame. There must have been a dozen cards from his first or 2nd year, which made the lot even more tremendous.
- There's no doubt that this is a rookie card. Big, bold letters right on the front.
- I'm not sure what the print runs were back in 2004, but I'm surprised that this card can be found on COMC for $1.75. Even the most expensive card of the 6 copies is just at $4.25. Maybe it's the lack of interest in Larry, I don't know, but that seems quite cheap for an RC of the guy that's 3rd all time in catches.
- Catch #5 was the first of 5 he had in his 2nd career game, which was against the Patriots. It wound up being the longest catch of the day, 14 yards.

Larry Fitzgerald card #4 2005 Donruss Elite Elite Teams Silver #ET-1
- This card probably would have been better if the QB featured was Kurt Warner instead of Josh McCown.
- Love how the card scanned here, almost like a refractor.
- Serial #'d 150/1000. Right up my alley.
- Career catch #4 was the final catch of Larry's first game. It was an 8 yard pass from Josh McCown; Larry wound up with 4 catches for 70 yards. Rams won 17-10

Larry Fitzgerald card #3 2005 Topps #207
- Man that is a lot of white on the card. Might have been better to find a card of Fitz in his red jersey instead.
- Bio on the back: "He's the type of player that when you take him out of the box, it says no assembly required." Very high praise. 14 years later, he's still rolling.
- Unbelievably, there are no copies of this card on COMC right now. There are black and gold parallels available, but no base.
- Catch #3: 3rd quarter of his first NFL game against the Rams. 10 yard completion from Josh McCown. Larry has now caught a pass in each of his first 3 quarters as a pro.

Larry Fitzgerald card #2 2005 Leaf Certified Materials Certified Potential #CP2
- I love how this card scanned. Reminds me a bit of Topps' refractors. The colors that the scan brought out you really don't see on the card.
- Serial #'d 281/500. Right up my alley. You're going to see a lot of serial numbered cards of Fitzgerald on this blog over time. (Thanks Wes)
- I never really was a big football collector to begin with, but seeing the variety of sets and products that I've received so far of Fitzgerald, I'm a bit excited about learning more of these...
- Career catch #2: 2nd quarter of his first game against the Rams, he caught a 15 yard pass to get the Cards down to the Rams 14; they'd settle for a field goal. Larry's first 2 catches he's averaging 27 yards per grab. Not a bad start to a pro career.

Larry Fitzgerald card #1 2005 Bazooka #11
- I'm kind of excited to start collecting Larry Fitzgerald, I've followed him since back at his days at Pitt. The QB that threw to him, Tyler Palko, was the starting QB for the high school district that I lived in when I first moved to the US, so it was kind of cool for me to follow them along.
- Got this card as part of a 35 card lot on ebay. $7 shipped. Nice
- What really got me interested in learning more about Fitz is watching the Amazon Prime show All or Nothing. I was impressed with how hard Larry trains and how upset he was when they lost the conference final to the Panthers a few years back.
- Larry has 1234 catches to date in his career. I'm going to try and get each one here on the blog.
- Catch #1: talk about no delay. 1st game, 9/12/04 against the Rams, Larry catches a 37 yard pass on his very first play from Josh McCown.
