- Not sure if Brett is still chasing the dream, as he is still without a contract. At 27, he's still young enough to get a few more years in the bigs should the right situation present itself.
- I've missed about 4 days this month, so I'm going to try and get some 2 a day posts in to try and catch up. I'm also trying to push forward and get my entire Lawrie and McCutchen PC's posted so I can concentrate on Sakic, Thome and Potvin.
- Not a bad design on the card, I especially like it because the Jays had switched back to the old style logo. I never was a huge fan of the logo from the early 2000s, it just never sat right with me.

- Had a hard time lining this up on the scanner bed, so I decided to use a white piece of cardboard in behind it to try and help. As you can see I still struggled a bit...
- Spent too much time in Canada: any Canadians reading this will know that you see CTC in Canada, you associate it with Canadian Tire Corporation (at least I always have).
- I really like these die cut cards, one of the few inserts I enjoyed pulling out of packs over the past few years. Noticed for the first time when I scanned this card the little drops in behind the photo that look like rain spots. Cool.

- I'll end 2016 with a pair of minis featuring Andrew McCutchen. Not going to make 400 posts in 2016, but for me this was a successful year for this blog.
- I'm sure that I've mentioned this before, but when I do finally buy myself a McCutchen jersey, it will be the black alternate. Love the gold lettering on the black background.
- Career homer #36 for Cutch was hit 5/18/2011 @ the Cincinnati Reds. Bronson Arroyo gave up the 2 run shot, as the Pirates and Charlie Morton shut out the Reds 5-0.

- A very baby faced Gerrit Cole wearing a style of Pirate hat that I don't think I've ever seen. Wonder if Pirate fans are ready to lose him when he becomes a free agent, because the Bucs won't be able to afford him.
- Prediction: After his worst season out of 4 in the majors, Cole comes back in 2017 and wins 18 games and top 5 in Cy Young balloting.

- I have really slowed down on the Brett Lawrie posts lately. It's been a lot of the same pose from Topps and Topps Chrome, so I've backed off quite a bit.
- Serial # 236/2013. I actually have a page of Lawrie cards down the pipe that has five serial #'d cards in it. Craziness....
- After a while when you show the same card, you run out of things to say. I know that the picture was taken in SkyDome, I've mentioned the tats on more than one occasion, so what else is there? Maybe the fact that the ticket packages advertisement showed up on the photo. I know that going to games in Toronto can get pretty damn expensive, so I'm sure that packages have got to the way to go.
- Only 2 copies of this card currently on COMC. One at $1.20, the other at $1.23. Wonder if the extra 3 cents is a tax?

- If I ever do purchase a McCutchen Pirates jersey for myself, it will be the black alternate version. It's been my favorite for a long time.
- It's almost a shame to call this card a mini. My cropped image is at 2.18" x 3.02", which isn't that far off of a standard card measurement.
- I was surprised to see that this card lists for $2 in Beckett. These seemed so plentiful when I was buying 2013 Topps that I thought it may be 50 cents at best. What do I know?

- Post #200 folks. I feel that I've committed myself to this blog and the purpose that I originally intended. Showing off 1 card at a time, and growing an online checklist. There's still a long way to go, since I have about 1200 cards for my 5 PCs total.
- The Wal Mart blue parallels are probably my 2nd favorite parallel for the Jays, next to the darker blue Opening Day parallels. They just fit the team so well in my opinion.
- I have 2 more cards featuring this same photo that I still have to post about, Opening Day and Topps Mini. But I've stuck with the same methodology with these posts, going page by page in my binders. So with 5 Bowman/Bowman Chrome cards with the same photo on the same page as the 4 cards you've seen today, those other 2 will have to wait a couple of weeks.

- I don't know if I'm going blind, or if the scanner just enhanced them, but I never noticed the lines beneath the Jays logo in the past. Were they there all along? If so, my eyes are getting really bad...
- The "sea turtle" design of 2013 Topps has not gotten old for me, nor will it ever.
- To make the next post a little anti-climactic, this is post #199 for this blog. With 4 cards that had similar photos of Brett, and needing 4 posts today to hit the 200 mark, it just seemed to fit. With so many more cards to post, getting to 200 before the 6 month mark is a good start.
