Jim Thome card #269 2001 Fleer Futures #24

  • Maybe one of the most boring design for Fleer ever.  The border reminds me of a granite countertop.
  • Limited:  There is a black parallel of this card, limited to 499 copies.  Still looking for one of those for the PC.
  • Career home run #268 was the first of 2 on the day for Jim, a 2 run shot that got the Indians on the board against Seattle.   Problem was that the Mariners already had put up 12 runs by the 4th.  OK, maybe not a problem as the Indians came back from 12 down to win 15-14, scoring 3 in the 7th, 4 in the 8th and 5 in the ninth, and 1 in the 11th to finish it off.   Holy cow!
