- Easily one of the best jersey cards in my collection. Nice big piece, red and the card is serial #'d 19 which is Joe's jersey number.
- Only one copy if this card currently on COMC, it's listed at $11.25. I don't remember what I paid for mine...
- For all the years that Joe spent in the NHL, he managed only two 50 goal seasons, 1995-96 (51 goals) and 2000-01 (54). It's interesting that the 2 Stanley Cups that the Avalanche won came during those 2 seasons.

- Have had this sitting at the top of my jersey/bat card pile for all of my player PC's for a while now, finally decided to get down to scanning and showing on the blog.
- Added this card to the Trading Card Database, and was surprised at how many of these had not been scanned yet. There are 47 cards in this particular insert set, and just under half haven't been added.
- I'm not a big fan of the WAR stat; how does one account for 9/10 of a win?

- I'm hoping to show a jersey card of my PCs each time I hit a card # that ends in 50 or 00. This is one of the earliest jersey cards I bought of Joe.
- Joe's card mate, Milan Hejduk, shared the Stanley Cup with Joe in 2000-01, and led the league in assists during that playoff year with 16.
- There are different copies of this card; there's a combo's card with Brendan Shanahan ($20 on COMC), and a Spectrum version ($10 on COMC) of this card #'d to 99 copies. The Spectrum version is especially cheap considering there are a few cards from 07-08 going for twice the price of the Sakic/Shanahan combo.

- I love this card for the simple fact that Joe is wearing the black team Canada jersey, which became an instant favorite for me. One day I'd love to have one with Sakic and #91 on the back.
- There are a pair of these cards on COMC right now, one with a black swatch, the other with a red one, both priced at $7.25. A reasonable price indeed for Sakic jersey cards, although I believe I paid right around $5 for my copy.
