- Scanned just like a refractor would scan, with that yellowish gold border. Looks great!
- Bio on the back: "...,besting the Arizona first baseman by snagging 28 of 30 first place votes." The other two first place votes didn't go to Paul Goldschmidt, who finished 2nd in the voting. They went to Yadier Molina, who finished 3rd.
- This was another card I managed to find at the monthly card show on the weekend. Only today did I find out that it is a SP card from the 2014 set. The common SPs run about $3, so getting this for $1.67 (3 for 5 bucks box) was a fairly good deal.

- How humiliating it was last night when I updated my PC pages, only to find out that I accidentally put the wrong card on a post title for Cutch. Guess that people either didn't look close enough or just didn't bother telling me.
- Bio on the back: back of the card compares the Pirates making the playoffs in 2013 and Cutch taking MVP to the last time the Pirates made the playoffs in '92 and Bonds was chosen MVP.
- Andrew off to a much better start in April this year, hitting .261 so far. I think moving him to the 2 hole last year to start the season blew up in the Pirates' faces, and this year we'll see the "normal" McCutchen stats.

- Prizm will be one of my favorite non-licensed sets, always. It really doesn't change much from year to year, the design is cool in my books and the set isn't that huge in terms of # of cards.
- It almost looks as if McCutchen has a karate black belt, doesn't he?
- Bio on the back: " What can Pittsburgh's amazing centerfielder do for an encore in 2014? He was brilliant in 2013, winning his league's MVP award and leading Pittsburgh to its first playoff berth in 20 years." How about leading them back to the playoffs?
- 2017 will be a bounce back year for Cutch, regardless of where he ends up. If he's not in Pittsburgh, I hope he's in Toronto. A man can dream, right?
