- I love these hometown cards; I think it was a great idea to show the state flags/home country flags as a parallel. I don't think that I'll get tired of these.
- 8/13/03 was the date of Andrew's 99th career homer, hit off the Cardinals Adam Wainwright. It was a 2 run shot to get the Pirates going in the first inning, but the Cards wound up winning 4-3 in the 14th inning. Andrew would wait 20 days before hitting the milestone 100th HR.

- Love this card. I'm partial though because of the Canadian flag in the background.
- I like this Bowman design, it's minimal (for lack of a better word). The one thing that kind of detracts is the placement of the team logo. On a lot of cards, the logo ends up in an awkward spot on the anatomy. Almost like it's censoring something...
- Surprising that this card hasn't been scanned into the Trading Card Database. Well it has now. I'll keep on checking to see if each PC card is there when I post it on the blog; hopefully I can help put a dent into the project over time. I also have to say that the TCDB has helped me out quite a bit with posts as well...

- 2nd straight McCutchen card that I was able to add to the Trading Card Database. I was very surprised that this hadn't already been added by someone else.
- Was kind of floored when I saw the number of cards that there is of McCutchen for 2013. It's 500 in case you're curious...
- Career home run #35 was hit off of the Dodgers Lance Cormier, 5/10/2011. It was Cutch's 2nd homer of the game, but it was nowhere near enough as the Dodgers handed the Bucs a 10-3 beating.

- Last Brett Lawrie post was July 28th, almost a month ago. Seeing all these similar looking Bowman cards kind of made me shy away from posting would be my guess.
- I'm still waiting for that one break out season from Brett to put him into a higher category of 2nd basemen. Same old problem for Brett again this year, having problems staying healthy.
- I have 2 more '13 Bowman cards of Brett to post, his Chrome refractor and the hometown parallel. Those are going to wait for a while I work my way through the Topps cards from '13.

- I still have 3 parallels to pick up for this card (if I so desire). Orange, silver ice and the state/hometown versions. No hurry though...
- Card is serial #'d 249/500. I've bought enough Bowman over the past couple of years to know that the blues are #'d out of 500 without having to check.
- The ridiculousness of the amount of parallels that Bowman spits out for each player is making me wonder how far I really want to go with some of my player PC's. That is a post for another time...

- Bio on the back: Ranked 3rd on the Jays in runs in 2012 with 73.
- The blue "comb" on the left and right sides of the card is an interesting design. I thought that the color might be different on the other parallels, but sadly it's not.
- There's a lot of these listed on COMC right now, 32 to be exact. Almost giving them away too at 38 cents for the cheapest one.
- I wonder why Bowman got away from the thicker gold parallels that some of their earlier products had.
