- This version of the Topps 60 insert for Cutch shows him as 6th all time in Pirates history for OBP in the first 2 seasons of a players career (.365). I was surprised to see Jason Kendall quite a bit ahead of Andrew, 17 points to be exact.
- The autographed version of this card (which I don't own) features the 2010 At-Bats Per Grounded into Double Play leaders. Andrew was also 6th on this list, with a GIDP every 95 ABs. Nyjer Morgan was far and away the leader with a 254.5 AB/GIDP.
- Bought this for a very inexpensive 46 cents on COMC. Saw a few ebay auctions selling this card by itself for 99 cents. I honestly wonder sometimes how well auctions of single cards from the early 2010's do on the bay.

- At the time, it looked as if the Pirates foundation was going to be built around McCutchen and Alvarez. What a difference a few years and a few poor throws will make. Pedro is currently 0 for the season in Baltimore (as of Saturday morning).
- Meanwhile, the #2 spot in the order seems to be agreeing with McCutchen, as he is off to a 5 for 15 start in his first 4 games there.
- Andrew has been in the top 5 for NL MVP voting each of the past 4 years. Only 2 other NL players have been in the top 5 at least twice in those same 4 years (Paul Goldschmidt, Yadier Molina). Now that's valuable...

- That swing is currently responsible for 1151 hits. If he were to stay healthy for the next decade, and maintain his 162 game average of 180 hits per year, he'd be 49 hits shy of 3000 by his age 39 season. I'd love to see that happen.
- I've never much defined a guy by what his hair looked like, but I miss the dreadlocks on McCutchen. I really do.
