- Love the photo on this card. It reminds me that Thome was a home run hitter and that swing produced 612 of them. The logo is not overbearing and his name is easy to read. All good things.
- Career homer #94 for Jim was his first of the 1997 season, a solo shot off of Oakland's Buddy Groom. The opening day blast extended the lead for the Indians to 9-7, which is how the game would end.
- Also, congratulations go out to Jim for getting a plaque added to the Phillies Wall of Fame today.
