- First card that I've shown of Thome featuring him in a hitting pose.
- The number 9 represents the amount of RBI's that Thome had during his first season in the bigs (1991)
- I'll have to keep an eye out for the next few cards of Jim's, but this is the only card I remember that features him wearing the #6
