- Not sure what to make of this design. It's OK, I don't think it's bad really, but it doesn't jump out at you either, does it? I do like the photo of Thome, it appears as if he's popped another ball up.
- Bio on the back: "In Cleveland, he is hailed as the team's most dangerous third baseman since Al Rosen. "
- 496 cards does not a Topps set make. I think that's the lowest total for a flagship set since the 50's, makes me wonder why Topps cut so many of the fringe players out.
